He worked for The Boston Consulting Group (Paris) and has been a visiting professor at Boston University, Northwestern University, Toledo University, Monterey Institute of International Studies, Aarhus Business School, HEC-University of Geneva, Temple University (Tokyo), Nyenrode University, University of Otago, Vlerick School of Management, Helsinki School of Economics, and China-Europe International Business School (Shanghai). Until recently he was Professor of Finance at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo and still lives in the U.S. He has taught in postgraduate programs in 20 countries.
Dr. Soenen’s research and teaching interests focus on corporate finance, working capital, capital budgeting, and international financial management. He published three books and 150 articles in academic and international journals such as: Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Financial Markets, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Portfolio Management, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Futures Markets, Journal of Cash Management….
